AEL joins the Westcott Launchpad Programme

Airborne Engineering Ltd has partnered with Buckinghamshire Enterprise Zone on the new Westcott Launchpad Programme. This exciting new scheme offers voucher funding up to £25,000 to start-ups, SMEs and large businesses, to support innovation, development and commercialisation of new products and services based at Westcott Venture Park in Buckinghamshire.

The programme aims to help businesses to develop and grow by offering access to a range of unique and industry leading facilities at Westcott, with technical support and expertise from our partners at the Satellite Applications Catapult, Protolaunch, Plastron, Airborne Engineering and European Astrotech.

The Westcott Launchpad facilities include:

• Rocket propulsion systems testing and prototyping,
• Drone testing and development, alongside autonomous systems,
• Satellite and ground-based communications expertise and testing,
• In-orbit, Servicing, Assembly and Manufacturing (ISAM) and robotics,
• Associated workspace and meeting space,
• Access to the Westcott Cluster through networks and peer to peer workshops.
